Welcome! This is my first post for the “Pathway to Fruitfulness” blog. The best way to start is from the beginning.
1In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. (Genesis 1:1, King James Version)
There is no way that anyone can say it better, God created heaven and earth!
Period.
I have to confess that I have been confused throughout the former years of my life; I believed that God’s existence was so supreme, that I would never completely understand the concept of who God is. This has caused me to reject the idea that any human being would be able to explain His existence. So I went through life growing up thinking that there IS a God, but I won’t believe in Him until I see Him.
I’ve never considered myself to be a follower, so I never took the time to understand why so many people read the bible or believed in what was written. I was not raised in the church every Sunday. I’ve been a few times, but I was afraid of what was happening around me. I mean, I was very young and people were doing things I thought was for show. And if God was a big as I thought he was, I am sure he was watching.
What’s important to understand is that, there are those who believe in God and those who don’t. I am a firm believer in God and His Son (Jesus Christ) and everything His word says. If you don’t believe in God, understand that your choice (yes, it is a choice) does not reflect any factual or scientific representation of God’s non-existence. Choosing not to believe in God will definitely have a negative impact on your soul right now and most certainly when you leave this earth, because we are only here for a short time(1 Cor 7:29). There is only one true and living God, and He was here from the very beginning (John 1:1).
Your intellectual right to “free will” will only fuel the fire and magnify your pride. Pride comes before destruction.(Prov 16:18) It takes the Word of God to believe and draw you nigh unto to Him. The word is first pure than peaceable (James 3:17). When you hear the Word (when time is due), it feels like it’s reaching down into your soul and cleanses it. And that’s what it’s all about.
When did you first believe in God and His creation?
